The Puget Sound Chapter's Facilities Section provides Chapter members with information pertinent to facilities-related issues that law firms and other businesses encounter on a regular basis. This section was recently expanded to include sustainability topics.  Section meetings are held bi-monthly over the noon hour, with a variety of speakers and round table discussions. Meetings are usually held the first Tuesday of even months of the year.

Facilities management is responsible for coordinating all efforts related to planning, designing, managing buildings and their systems, equipment, and furniture to enhance the organization's ability to compete successfully in a rapidly changing office environment.  It is the practice of coordinating the physical workplace with the people and work of the organization and integrates the principles of business administration, architecture and the behavioral and engineering sciences.

We also have an active forum where you can pose questions to other Facilities listserv members on various topics. For more information, to be added to the Facilities listserv or to suggest topics for upcoming meetings, please contact the Section Co-Chairs,  Ruie Victory, Vicki Denning or Garth Olson.

The guide to Private Dining Rooms published in the June 2007 issue of Soundings is also available online, under Members Only.
